Writing as a teenager
I would say that writing as a teenager is difficult. Most of us teenagers have a lot going on in our mind. Some of us teenagers come up with ideas in seconds and finish an essay in 30 minutes depending on the topic. Some of us can get stuck and get frustrated because the topic is hard to come up with some ideas. Some of us teenagers don't get ideas just like that and that's were procrastination starts when we teenagers say ''ill think of something tomorrow'' and it just keeps saying the same thing the next day and the next day. finally towards the end of the week or whenever the paper is due i start just writing stuff just to get it done. Sometimes ideas don't just come to our mind.

I totally agree with you Oscar. This happens to most of the students when they get homework over the weekend. The students seem to forget about the homework after Saturday morning and don't remember about the homework until Monday morning.
ReplyDeleteI agree with you Oscar because students don't like doing homework in the weekend so they wait until the last minute. I also agree that some people would just write fast and get a bad grade an assignment than to think and take time to do it right the first time. People do it late because some teachers will force you or they make you go to lunch until you do an assignment and turn in late and get some credit.
ReplyDeleteI definitely agree with you Oscar our minds cant think of something instantly. All of our minds work differently and none of us write the same either. Procrastination happens a lot over the weekend or weekday, people dont want to do work when they have better things to do, but writing in high school is difficult.
ReplyDeleteI think the same as you Oscar we as teenagers have many other things that we believe are better than writing. Also procrastination has been a major problem with me this semester and it sucks because it becomes a habit. I also think that essays take a lot of thought and hard work to write one and us teenagers hate writing for a long time.
ReplyDeleteI agree with you because when I get suck I say the same thing and later the assignment is due. I also agree that us teenagers have a lot going on and its hard focusing on an essay.

ReplyDeleteThank you Oscar for sharing your thoughts. I see you have a few comments that agree wholeheartedly with you, however I want to ask you and others that may have commented this question related to homework. Does it help to have a deadline? Since you are expected to complete some homework, wouldn't it be better to create a schedule that you could implement in order to demonstrate effective time management. Hopefully those skills will develop and be in full swing when you are in college.
ReplyDeleteI don't agree, I think we procrastinate because we are just plain lazy and the stress and adrenaline we get while we do the assignment last minute is appealing. It's not that hard to just sit and think about something, it only takes a few seconds to come up with an opinion.
